Reinstall your graphics drivers and update them if you haven't already.

Could this possibly be VRam issue? cause i have AA and AF on all the time

Did you have the same settings as with your GTX 780?

Yes, Everything on as hi as i could go

Then I doubt it's a VRAM issue since the 780 only had 3GB(presumably).

Then what could cause the stutter

If it stutters everywhere, the 970 may be faulty.

Great, is there anything to test if its faulty? like the smart utility for SSD's?

No there isn't. Before you RMA it, try re-seating it into the PCIe slot.

well, it seems like its starting to run better now, I may RMA it at a latter date, as i have 30 days, Perhaps i just need to where it in

I doubt wearing it in will do anything. My 970 worked totally fine out of the box and I expect any other PC component to do the same. (if it's fully functional)

@Uwillparish bro rma it my 970 worked when it came out of the box perfectly

How about a benchmark comparison to see how your card compares to mine, Unigine 'Heaven' benchmark with all the settings on extreme

If it doesn't run fine, do a Clean installation of the driver. Also, make sure that it's the latest one.

Mine worked pretty well out of the box

Good? Bad? Someone tell me please, Extreme pre-set BTW

Good actually.

Still not sure what the cause could be though. Sounds like some driver hiccups though. Since your card coil whines badly, i think a RMA would solve both issues i guess?

who cares...

Did you reinstall drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller first?

Follow these exact steps:

Download Display Driver Uninstaller (Link Above)

Download Newest NVIDIA Drivers

Uninstall Current NVIDIA Drivers

Restart computer

Unplug Internet

Open Up Display Driver Uninstaller

It will ask you to reboot in safe mode, hit accept.

In Safe Mode after Reboot, Display Driver Uninstaller will open.

Select NVIDIA in drop down menu. Then Select "Uninstall the current and previous drivers and restart the computer (Highly Recommended)"

Also, make sure your card is properly seated. Make sure all PCI-E power cables are plugged in all the way.
