It says for laptops but im sure its fine for desktops right? and it should last 2-3 years right?

For laptop means that it doesn't come with any cables normally.

no hdd or ssd comes with cables,  it will work. the ''for laptop'' means its the usual laptop form factor for hdd's and ssd's   .  2.5"  it will work just as well with a desktop. just make sure you have the apropriate sata cables

<3 best buy, i like to walk in and buy my stuff and see it thier, plus returning at best buy is usally simplier (just incase)

nope. its the same cable, no difference whatsoever. just the connector at the end (motherboard or the actual ssd) the cable won't do any difference
