Yes, as long as it isn't a mSATA SSD.

For laptop means that it doesn't come with any cables normally.

no hdd or ssd comes with cables,  it will work. the ''for laptop'' means its the usual laptop form factor for hdd's and ssd's   .  2.5"  it will work just as well with a desktop. just make sure you have the apropriate sata cables

It doesn't matter, any hard drive will go in a desktop if it has SATA and SATA power

nope. its the same cable, no difference whatsoever. just the connector at the end (motherboard or the actual ssd) the cable won't do any difference
