Honestly? G3258 since you can hit higher overclocks. WoW is single-threaded and so any extra cores/threads will go unused. However the G3258 is poorly suited for any modern game.

You obviously haven't owned one.

ikr, this is supposed to have clever people on it, but they don't know that a strong dual core is fantastic for nearly every game

SO BETWEEN G3258 AND I5-4690K???

I GUESS SO. WHAT'S YOUR BUDGET? I'D GO WITH THE I5 IF YOU CAN

Dragon age, watch dogs, ac unity, far cry 4, witcher 3 and GTA v.

Most of those are shite ports and would run bad on any hardware. Idk about Witcher 3, but it's been proven that you can play FC4 well on a G3258

To be fair far cry 4 runs better on an i3 but the pentium is much cheaper and doesnt need a aftermarket cooler to overclok , or a expensive mobo.

And it gives great upgrade path.

Exactly why I went with a Pentium, so I'll be able to get an i7 (I do video work)

Sorry to say but i3s can't OC
