I think for those games a pentium is a better choice but the 860k is a great cpu for the price and handles everything.

 

I just dont recommend it on builds because no viable upgrade path on fm2+

Yeah 860k should be able to handle most things rather well just remember to get a graphics card even though it's an FM2+ it's a CPU not an APU... (no integrated graphics)

buildin a portable lan/htpc rig. gonna be playing on a 1080 42" tv. can 860k handle csgo, lol, and skyrim?

doesn't have to be maxed out. whats the highest graphics you can pair?

i already have intel in my main rig, so i thought to  test amd fm2+ as a portable rig
