Needs an ssd. For the price you're gonna pay for this. you should be able to get an ssd at least for a boot drive.

What is this build for? Gaming, editing or both?

Also there are quite a few areas to improve:

- Change CPU to I5-4690k or I7-4790k with a good Z97 board

- Change the PSU to an EVGA G2 750W

- Drop the RAM to 8GB (Unless editing significantly as well) and upgrade to 16GB later. Also don't pay a stupidly high premium for 2666MHz, just get 1866, 2133 or 2400

- Get a Seagate barracuda 2TB, not WD green

- Get a MUCH better case than that like the Enthoo Pro, 450D or Define R5/H440 if you want silence

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Do NOT buy an FX chip in 2015, please just don't (unless you're on a really really tight video editing budget, which you aren't). Compared to i5's any FX chip is just horrific in games. I would recommend an i5-4690k and a Z97 board or a i5-4460 and H97 board (4690k can overclock, 4460 cannot and is clocked lower).

4690k is >= 8350 when both overclocked in multithreaded performance as well.

Sources to back up my claims and a lot of useful information you should take into consideration before making your purchase

If you're going with two 970s, you should get an Intel CPU, at least an i5.

You should also look at getting an SSD (Crucial makes some for great value) and if you're running 1080p or 1600p, there really isnt' a need for two 970s right now
