Pretty much EVGA is the best regarding that, but it really differs on each area too, if EVGA is not well installed in your region it can be a pain in the ass anyway; and that company that everyone has a bad experience with can be really nice were you live. For example XFX and Sapphire are amazing in my country, but people in the US can do nothing but criticize them.

I've never gone directly to the manufacturer for RMA, I always use the seller if it's within warranty.

in the UK I deal with ebuyer and they basically have a no quibbles RMA service. if you say it's broke, they'll replace it.

I think what they and other companies do is just box together products for different manufacturers and ship them at mass.

back in the day they swapped my broken 8800gts for a 8800gt! there was like £100 price difference at the time!
