stupid pimple problem, please help!

i usually have clear skin, but my stupid head had the idea of shaving my face against the hair rather than shaving the correct way down towards the neck. after 2 strokes in the opposite direction half my face started bleeding so i had to sleep with a paper towel on half my face.

After i woke up i realized that i was breaking out on the affected part of my face, i have dark spots and pimple scars over the years due to me picking at them. i get this regular pimple under my lip and above my chin (right in the middle of the two) its not visible but i know its there because whenever i touch it, it hurts like a bitch. i cant get any straight answers on how to fix my problem. someone told me to not wash my face with really hot water and not to use any type of soap/cleanser on my face (basically just wash my face with room temp. water). i bought all those 3 step acne treatment things but realized that it doesnt work. i also put petroleum jelly to moisturize my face for a week instead my regular lotion. but nothing is working.

i know its a tech forum, but how can i fix this issue?

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Hot water on a towel, put it over your face, give it time. That's about all you can do now. It's probably just on a sensitive spot.

I was going to say the exact same thing. Sound advice here!

It would have been hilarious if you posted this in Troubleshooting.

It's kind of similar to taking a hot shower. I think it just opens up your pores and softens the skin. Works for me at least!

Try this....gets some aspirin and put some water on it and crush it and rub it on the affected area. I used it on razor bumps and it helps a lot maybe it might help with pimples

You're not suppose to shave against the grain?

That's news to me.

Never had my father around so don't judge me :P

The shaving against the "grain" only works once you've shaved the other way. ( so shave normally and then do it against to get that smooothness that the honeys like)

Some people can't shave against the grain.  Some can.

My sister really liked how proactive worked.  It worked for her while she was using it.  Expensive though.

Not sure what she does now.

Yeah i used to do that too, but you need to do it fast and for a small spot, the chin i dont even attempt cause that would never work.

you can probably buy a shaving machine thing to avoid all that hassle ( got one and the clean shave from that is so much better than a clean shave with a razor )

Ugg pimples...this is gonna get a little disgusting-

Shave often

Don't use too many treatments, just something like clearasil or an off brand will work rubbed in over you face if you are having problems once in a while, you know areas where you feel you might get acne soon.

Be careful with that stuff, it bleaches towels.

Avoid a bunch of sugar like pop and you shouldn't really have an issue. For showering, just regular soap, and don't go super hot.

Popping pimples is ok, just don't pick at them. Seriously, don't. Like if you see the yellow or whatever that disgusting shit is, carefully pop it, get all of it out, and clean it. Don't touch it after that, don't cover it just dab a piece of paper towel on it until it stops bleeding. You shouldn't have to unless you popped one that you shouldn't have. Don't try to pop ones that don't look ready to go.

I've never really had acne on my face by following this. I'm absolutely disgusted by it, even one zit, and I've kinda learned how to prevent it. I used to use to many creams and carap, and my face ended up too dry despite having really good skin, and it would make the problem worse/make 2 pimples really stand out.

In the same way that you don't want to dry your face, don't over moisturize it either.

This said, I've never had a zit problem, just a problem with having zits. They make me feel dirty. 1 zit is a zit problem to me. So I don't know if this changes with people that have a larger issue with breakouts and whatnot.

i am not the perfect proof, but when i do use it, its amazing and my skin is like porceline.

proactive. it actually fkn works.

that should help get rid of the breakout and help clear up your skin. (it evens out the tones and helps fade scars)

i reccomend it over regular clearacil or whatever, because its 20 somethin dollars every few months, (like 3 or 4)  and it comes wtih the cleanser, the toner, and a miosturizer. yee...

ive never had the need to shave but im sure it would be better to do so beforehand.

No...buy a double-edged safety razor and learn to use it CAREFULLY. You'll get a much closer shave, have less environmental impact, and spend MUCH less.
