Quick ram question...

Go to solution Solved by pikkie-mahn-mastah,

You could even buy 2 different RAM sticks from different companies and have them work together.... So long as they are the same speed and CAS latency

Hi, I'm looking forward to buy HyperX Fury ramsticks from our local store, but they only have 1x4 and 1x8 sticks of it. Would it be okay if I buy 2 1x4gb sticks of the same RAM?

yeah, no problem what-so-ever

It would be smarter to get the 1x8 though

It would look wonky as heck. :(

The reason why I want them Furies is because they look cool as f.

Yes, should be fine. But going with a single 8GB stick will give you more room for upgrades later.

Same reason. The mobo I'm getting has 4 DIMM slots, so it should be fine I guess.

If you have 2 DIMM slots. If you have 4, IMO, dual channel looks better ;)

YEAH!
