I had made this post. Please answer it:

Right...

I'm assuming that you still haven't bought the PSU yet. Where are you buying from, and what is your budget for the PSU? This would let us know what is available to you at what price point. Once we get this information, we will be able to tell you that the RM650 is worth it or not, as well as provide a different recommendation if necessary.

Also, there are various of other good PSUs from other brands. You shouldn't limit yourself to just one; otherwise, you may be missing out on another excellent that may very well be better in that same price range.

sorry about that.

I'm in South Africa, buying from landmarkpc.co.za so best bet is to use that site for reference. I guess I'm open to other brands, just a very OCD person and want everything matching but since the S340 i've got has the PSU cover I won't be seeing it.

on there it sells for R1487. I would say my limit is around R1500.

A TP-650C should be plenty: http://www.evetech.co.za/PC-Hardware/antec-tp-650c-650w-power-supply-712.aspx

The Antec TruePower Classic 650w is a good unit and would power two 970 in SLI. It is made by Seasonic, based on the S12G design internal (non-modular G series).

I would recommend the Seasonic G 650w though, as not only it is cheaper it offer modularity. http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/seasonic-series-650w-modular-power-supply-p-10935.html

The Antec Edge 650w unit is also a Seasonic G unit internally as well but is fully modular and a more relax fan profile, IIRC. It's a little cheaper than the RM650 as well. http://www.evetech.co.za/PC-Hardware/antec-edge-650w-gold-power-supply-870.aspx

Yes, it would be fine for that. Do note that it's not modular though.

^ I agree but it might not be available if I'm reading this correctly.
