You bought an expensive CPU with a relatively weak GPU (possibly a prebuilt?)

The 270 is no slouch, but for $1000, you could have gotten an SLI 290 build with an i5 that will utterly destroy 3770 + 270 in every gaming scenario.

Fantastic title.

You blew your budget on the CPU and probably other stuff too. Make a PCpartpicker list of your system and you'll know why

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Ugh I cringed, that's really overpriced.

At least you have a decent foundation that'll work great with any current GPU on the market if you feel the need for more performance. Unfortunately, Dell motherboards and power supplies are apparently really bad :\

Yeah you kinda goofed, thinking that the CPU should take up most of your budget.
