I'm looking into putting a computer together that can stream video good. What are important in this type of computer? I'm assuming an a good CPU will be needed to render but would I need an i7 or would an i5 be fine? Also would the GPU help in stream quality or only the quality on my monitor?

A stable upload connection takes major priority over any powerful rig. QuickSync is nice due to the zero performance impact it has, but looks a tad bit shitter as opposed to pure CPU encoding on lower bitrates. x264 doesn't play well with HyperThreading, neither does it make much of a difference in games, so going i7 over i5 should technically not make a difference.

take into consideration i also want to be able to stream my console gameplay via capture card
