Bob is four years older than Tom. Two years ago, Bob was twice as old as Tom. How old are they know? It confuses me pls help.

(y-2) = 2*(x-2)

y=4+x

(4+x)-2 = 2*(x-2)

x+2=2x-4

0=x-6

x=6

y=4+6

y=10
