I cant use a regular keyboard

I cant use a straight keyboard anymore. I have gotton so used to the ergonomic split of my apple adjustable keyboard.

But my q key is dying.

 

anyone else get used to weird keyboards?

 

I literaly cant use a regular keyboard, make so many mistakes.

its normal, u can readjust to other keyboards in a short while.

Yeah, i just love this keyboard, i can type much faster, its a shame its dying. I wonder what the apple store would do if i took it in for repair...

it just takes time to adjust is all it isn't that you cant use it lol

if you are looking for something new look at ergodox kits that sell on massdrop and make your own just make note that it would not be cheap to do

Most probably wouldn't even know why you still have one or what it is.

btw since its only 1 key that is dying, no chance that u can fix it?

not sure, i might be able to. for now it doesnt matter, i dont use q often. It works sometimes, here is ten presses of q- qqqqqqq

more then likely. I seem to recall it being an alps keyboard so if it is just a switch i would assume it can be replaced without much work

Not sure where i would find an alps switch, let me look up what switch it was.

Not sure where i would find an alps switch, let me look up what switch it was.

well you can get new ones but they are not made by the same people that made them as you keyboard so best bet would be finding an older keyboard that uses alps for parts
