Huge difference...

Please help!

Previously on Windows XP 32BIT I had 27 average fps ++ on GTA IV EFLC.

(I didn't save benchmark results because I wiped old HDD)

Now I'm on SSD and Windows 7 X64 Ultimate and I'm getting less than 15 average fps...kinda unplayable...

Here are the benchmarks:

First benchmark after a fresh PC restart - closed all background apps then started game.

StatisticsAverage FPS: 14.62Duration: 33.03 secCPU Usage: 95%System memory usage: 81%Video memory usage: 66%Graphics SettingsVideo Mode: 1280 x 1024 (60 Hz)Texture Quality: HighShadow Quality: Very HighReflection Resolution: Very HighWater Quality: Very HighTexture Filter Quality: Anisotropic x16Night Shadows: Very HighView Distance: 100Detail Distance: 100HardwareMicrosoft Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TiVideo Driver version: 347.25Audio Adapter: Hangszórók (High Definition Audio hangeszköz)Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU          6600  @ 2.40GHzFile ID: TBoGT-Benchmark.cli

Second benchmark after a fresh PC restart - closed all background apps + OC'd GPU manually by using Asus GPU tweak. Increased fan speed to 80% as well.

StatisticsAverage FPS: 14.98Duration: 32.99 secCPU Usage: 96%System memory usage: 66%Video memory usage: 66%Graphics SettingsVideo Mode: 1280 x 1024 (60 Hz)Texture Quality: HighShadow Quality: Very HighReflection Resolution: Very HighWater Quality: Very HighTexture Filter Quality: Anisotropic x16Night Shadows: Very HighView Distance: 100Detail Distance: 100HardwareMicrosoft Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TiVideo Driver version: 347.25Audio Adapter: Hangszórók (High Definition Audio hangeszköz)Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU          6600  @ 2.40GHzFile ID: TBoGT-Benchmark.cli

Read my signature to check the rest of my PC specs.

Here's what I've done:

- installed directX version the program required.

- installed .NET latest

- installed GPU driver and updated to the latest version

- Got all basic drivers

- Overclocked GPU by a lot of % for the 2nd benchmark test...

- Restarted PC and closed all running apps

I don't know what else to do...any ideas please? On Windows XP x86 it ran flawlessly on the same settings I even tried 1080p and it ran even better on XP than on Win7 on 1024p now... I don't think it's a RAM problem because a 32-bit WINXP can only use 3,25 (3,2 usable) gigs and now I've got way more usable ram due to x64 system...WTF is the problem!?

Even Battlefield 4 (on my dad's 16:9 full HD monitor that I borrowed) runs much much much better on 1080p ultra than this piece of sh*t GTA IV....

But on XP GTA IV ran significantly better....please help?

@Tenge500 GTA 4 is not exactly a good optimized game (<- understatement)

But try lowering the settings to lowest and see what that does. The result might be interesting...

Or just try to turn down some settings and try to see a difference

In the gta4 install folder create a text file called "commandline.txt" in that text file paste

"-norestrictions

-nomemrestrict"

See if that helps

If it makes you feel better im usually around 40 fps or below on my system

No I'm not turning down settings. I'd rather not play at all...

As I sayed (I know it's "said" but I ain't in the mood for grammEr now) on 32bit winXP it runned (ran) much better on the same settings.

bump because I really need help?.

Ok whatever...

If you don't quote me, I will not receive a notification..

You can at least try it, but it seems like you don't want it..

Just buy a console if you want to play that game I guess, if you don't want to go through the hassle of trying stuff.

I already done that. I also tried lowering graphical settings but performance was still shit.

The game itself uses 3 - 3,5gb system RAM in total and CPU usage is somewhere between 60% - 100%.

I checked nvidia control panel to see if there are any 3D graphical settings altered (such as anti aliasing etc) but nope it's default...

Something's wrong here...I don't know what.
