First watercooling setup

Case: Thermaltake Core X9

 

Loop order:

Reservoir - Pump - Bottom Left Rad - Top Left Rad - Left GPU - Right GPU - CPU - Top Right Rad - Reservoir (back to start)

That should be the order that leaves me with the cleanest setup, I think.

Bleeding will be done from the 2nd outlet on the pump.

Filling will be done with a T-Block mounted under the Top Right Rad, so I fill in the tube leading to the Reservoir.

I got a EK-D5 pump - 140mm reservoir combo:

So is there any problems with this setup?

PrimoChill PrimoFlex Onyx Black 12,7 mm (1/2") / 19,1 mm (3/4")

EK-Ekoolant CLEAR (Premade mix) (3 liters ordered + 5 Mayhems liter Ultra Pure H20 for cleaning and testing)

 

Lamptron FC5 V3 Fan Controller (6x 30w)

Ultra Kaze 120x120x38mm (3000rpm) (Push in top)

Slip Stream 120x120x12mm Slim Case Fan (2000rpm) (Push-Pull in bottom)

I got the fans for another setup, will change them later if needed.

Could you show us a pic of your system and maybe just with paint paint the loop in ? Mayber there is a option to get to one rad before CPU and GPU

nvm misread and thought you are doing RES GPU GPU CPU RES, sorry

- Maximum flow: up to 1500L/h

 

It was the most powerfull I could find in the stores around me.

Imo, it is possible, but gonna be loud. I think, 1 quad and 1 tripple, or maybe 2 quad will be just fine. But u'd better listen to someone else.

One thing I started to wondering about, is that I only got a 140mmx60mm reservoir.

Would I benefit from getting a 2nd one or a bigger one (like 250mmx60mm) in a loop this size?

 

No one knows?

Reservoir size doesn't really matter. It only effects on how long it will take fill your loop.

Thus, I prefer micro res.

Does the speed of the pump matter?

Right now so does I have small reservoir and a fast pump (it can be controlled, but no idea if that works when using separate psu durring filling).

Speed pump does matter when it is about cooling efficiency.

It is better to fill the loop at low pump speed (to avoid running it dry and to get rid of the air faster).

On some pumps there is a switch, which controlls the pump speed.

How should it be with yours - idk. (Always used D5T.)
