How to damage earbuds?

David1521

Is it possible to damage se215s by plugging them into a bad sound card, or listening to a really laggy video? Cause I did both and I don't know if its the placebo effect or my earbuds sound a bit worse now.

The only way to damage them would be to exceed their power handling capacity, and a laggy video won't do that.

if you use a amp that is giving to much power, most likely, i tried out my apple earbuds on my amp and upon putting them to max they both blew

I don't think so unless the sound card is giving it too much power and im 97% sure it didn't so i think its just placebo.

Probably the placebo effect, because its hard to damage "speakers" with bad signal. They mostly break due to too much power(volume) or from physical damage. You can try listening to Demi Lovato it you want to help your ears :).
