960 vs 280X vs 280

tigerx95

of course it will will. i've got a 7970 sitting next to me folding on a psu with a 450w 12v rail. overclockers were selling 2 of them with a free 650w psu. its a 250w tdp card.

you should leave at least 100 watts of over head.

you should leave at least 100 watts of over head.

with an intel cpu and a 280X you would have over 100w of overhead on a 450w psu.

Well the GeForce site says you need minimum PSU of 400 watt for the 960. So I'll be just fine.

All depends on the use case scenario, don't think the 280x or 280 has HDMI 2.0 and to me that's what I'd be using since I'm using a 4k IPS-TV that is.

Also if you're building a streaming box than either card is fine.

Just to be sure, the 960 will fit in my PC, right? I mean the connections and such.

I have an Acer Aspire M7811 and my mobo number H57M01.

But I currently have a GTX 550 Ti, so a 960 should be able to fit (connections) as well, right?
