Anyone played Divinity: Original Sin?

I made it to the main city, just not sure where to go from there. If I go North, South, East or West I'm just insanely out levelled.

Ah, well you can pick two out of three new companions if you want (unless you have lone wolf perk on both of your chars)

There is also a 4:th in a well just outside on the west side.

Also...the quest log? it´s pretty straight forward on what you should do. but yeah head west, explore, kill undead (level 3). stuff and quest and level up some while your at it.

You also have to do things tactical, this is not a straight forward combat game like Dragon age, positioning is VERY helpful! if you have a mage take your time to learn how the spells work and learn them, like

If it rains or enemies are Wet, use lightning or Ice! if there is poison around, use fire! If someone is on fire rain!, Also..dont use Posion on Undead...it wont work. Some undeads can be Healed to death as well.

Unlike some games, Element weakness and and logic like undead is weak VS Healing is actually a thing in this game....Mostly.

If you need more exp/level do some side missions in town. there should be a couple of them, also try and get some better Gear.

Do as much as possible in town before heading out.

Also, depending on what difficulty you are playing on, you might not want to fight enemies that are a level above you. I'm currently playing it on the hardest difficulty, and mobs one level above that of my party are extremely difficult. I can easily handle one or two, but many more usually emerge from the fog as I'm fighting.

Crowd control is essential in this game. Make sure to equip your archers with plenty of special arrows. In my opinion, archers are the most versatile class in the game because of those arrows. Enemy archers with special arrows are downright disgusting, so you need to make sure your archers are equipped to be just as brutal. In this way, your mage and archer can compliment each other very well.

Please note that I am definitely not an expert; these are just things I've observed while playing the game blind on the hardest difficulty.

Out of curiosity, is the game stuck on one CPU core when you play? Does your FPS begin to roll off after a few minutes of playing, until you save/load?

No, game runs perfect for me. Cheers for the help.
