Computer freezing?

So it just froze when I was watching a YouTube video and downloading something. When it froze the noise in my headset sounded like it was repeating. Example: "hi" it would repeat iiiiiii

Have you tried switching the RAM and stuff yet?  

 

If so and you didn't identify a problem, I would go ahead an do a clean install of Windows.  Do you have any other Desktop computers?  If so, I would try one of the drives from one of the other computers, provided that you have the proper drivers installed, on the desktop that is not working.

 

If that drive doesn't freeze after it boots and such, then you know that you don't have a hardware problem, and that you either have a Software problem and/or a HDD problem.

 

If all else fails, try re-installing Windows.

SATA mode is considered AHCI. IDE is then considered "legacy."

I have a legit version of windows and I have the ram in the black slots. My drives are connected to 1,3,5

I just turned on my comp and it was configuring the updates then it said failed to configure reverting changes.

So everytime I turn of my comp, it installs the updates and when I turn it on it fails to config them...

Try using a different drive.

But in the windows setup it only recognizes the 1tb hdd

Update: I uninstalled the drivers and really installed it but the screen still froze after like 45 minutes of use... Help?

I didn't see your PSU in the list of parts you gave us. Are you sure that it's strong enough?

I had similar problems some time ago, and it was because of low power.

i may suggest reinstall the OS thou

 

to is to rule out any bad OS issues

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

but just try swapping the SATA ports you are using for the SSD
