Suggest me a good GPU around 350-400$

TofuMan
Go to solution Solved by drewjn,

So the Windforce OC is 10$ cheaper than the G1, right? So get the Windforce instead. Or the MSI Gaming 4G, if it is cheaper than both.

If windforce v g1, pay the extra. Even at 30usd more it is worth the increase. Not just for the stats, but due to build quality. The basic windforce does not have the metal backplate and tends to sag.

Hello guys help me decide on what GPU to buy.

I'm plannig to buy these

• Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB 256bit DDR5 (GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD)

As the title says friends im open for any suggestions.

Motherboard: Z97MX-Gaming 5

Processor: Intel i5 4590

Mem: Corsair Vengeance 8gb Dual 1600

PSU: RM650 FM

Cooler: Corasiar H60

I will disagree with almost everybody and i will suggest to wait for the AMD 300 series.

Nothing but speculation so far. Also, who knows how long that will be?...

The 970 without a doubt.

GTX 970 all the way! It runs most games perfectly, except my modded Skyrim, with which I'm stuck at 30fps

That's because of your CPU bud. My modded Skyrim runs at 50-60fps

Aww really? Didn't think Skyrim was so CPU heavy!

Patience my friend :)

Even if the 300 series cards are not THAT great, the prices of the 970/980 will drop. (unless AMD fails, but i doubt it)

If you can wait, it's a win-win situation. ;)
