Is it a bad idea to buy a phone that's already 6 months old?

Well given how fast tech moves I would think it's not a good idea, but if as android the phone gets L it's not so bad. Anyone have a opinion on this.

I'd say go for it, my phone is older but really unless you want to play the most demanding phone games your fine

Depends on the phone. Flagships usually are great, even after they age a year. 

If it has the 800 CPU, and 2GB RAM, it will kick ass.

Well seeing as the most common thing found on phones is fecal matter, think about how you would feel about having someone else's poo on your face. If you don't mind the idea then go ahead and buy a used phone, if you don't fancy that idea then don't buy a used phone.

I bought both my 4s and 5s 6 months after release, and they both stood the test of time.

I bought a Iphone 4 when the 4s came out and Im still using it. But over on the android front I fear it will be a different story.

not at all. bought my phone a year after its release and been using it for almost a year and a half now.

upgrades on the hardware on phones yearly are usually minimal so it won't be outdated that quick.

No you must have the absolute latest phone otherwise everything will lag and you won't get laid.

Its fine as long as it suits your needs. Something that gets Lollipop without custom ROM should still be pretty new.

it is, just spec wise its still current but as soon as new stuff in Q2 is dropped it will be "behind". And what the point of getting something that's behind, when price isn't as big of deal if it will last longer.

I wonder that to about most of my threads. Often I only looking for people to agree with me or perhaps disagree. I don't fully elaborate in the first post as if I did I would most likely just have answered my own question. However if a majority of users who post suggest agree I feel as though my thoughts have some validity to them and that I'm not crazy. If posters disagree, then I'm wrong and I often start to become more involved in the thread and ask more questions - which as you discovered I fully know what I'm talking about and already have essentially made up my mind.
