Avermedia live gamer portable problem

my capture card is ahveing a problem where id flashes between detecting and not detecting a video source. It was working fine today when i was recording Mariokart 8 at 720p 60fps, but now that it has another source I encounter the problem. I tried this new source outputting a 720p and 1080p resolution, but no fix.
