Are you trolling? That is an old, old CPU.

Just because its a xeon doesnt mean it is a good CPU.

This thing is OLD, and you probably wont get it to work unless you can also find a motherboard that old, which probably doesnt even support PCIe so you would not be able to put a GPU in it.

Overall the performance is crap, far worse than a pentium or celeron, and that is why it costs $4

You get what you pay for, and in this case you would be paying for a rock that doesnt do anything.

Hmm well the cheapest cpu that i've seen that can run stuff cost 70$ and was an amd. Xeons cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

this is a slow single core cpu with a small cache there is no reason this cpu would be expensive and for my uses 2.8 is fine for me

This thing is 11 years old, has only one core.

Like Slash003 said, perfect for a keychain, everything else ... not really.

Here are the specs if you are curious:

Frequency is meaningless when it comes to assessing performance. My 3570K at 2.8GHz would destroy that CPU.

then you should consider a low end AMD CPU or maybe even one of those tiny PCs that gigabyte or intel makes

the only thing you would really be able to do with it is frame it and hang it on a wall :P
