Hello, specs are in my signature.

OK, after seeing Linus "Ramble" on and on and on and on about "Silent" computers, I, i just give up. I will admit it, right now my rig produces 50+ dba. It drives me crazy hearing the fan speed move up and down and it being tooo loud most of the time. It is this because I like to OC and do em in safe temps.

Well guess what, I want you the LTT forum to suggest most overkill bitch-ass watercooling setup a 900D can contain. Please outline to pros and cons, budget up to $1100 and probably want Waterblock on EVERYTHING,

This is all about silence, so knock ya self out on the rads. Even coolant and tubing can be premium.

Thanks in advance!!!

Watercooling isn't quieter than properly done air cooling.

If silence is the goal, you should also be avoiding mechanical drives or having them stored elsewhere.

Well it cant be worse right now. I cant find any thing better to keep temps lower with high OC's

Are you really shooting for an inaudible system or are you just looking to quiet the system down?

:)

Quiet the system down. Will be running Noctua 2000 Industrial controlled by NZXT GRID+

You shouldn't be getting iPPC Noctuas if your goal is a quiet system.

Can you list your current specs/fan layout?

Specs are in sig. Can you suggest other fans. I was thinking of running the ippc's at 600 rpm or something.

There's no point getting iPPC's unless you need their high speeds or more robust features.

Is the h100i's pump particularly loud?

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

California United States

The h100i, yup. The gpu fans are a little loud, I also want to do it as a hobby.

$1100 Budget, (Including the 900D)

Have you set a custom fan curve with software like Msi Afterburner?

Also, an easy fan mod:

The 900D has absolutely terrible airflow. I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you're filling it chock full of watercooling.

Yes I have. Since I am stable at +(I think its 50) on the core. And at 1.2 GHZ, I have 150 mv left. I wanna get the max OC with the voltage sliders maxed. Also I want to OC the CPU this time to 5 GHZ, I have gotten 5.4 with 1.5 volts but it gets too hot.

I will fill every radiator space except the 140mm rear which will have a Corsair AF140

If having an as quiet as possible system is your objective, I wouldn't recommend watercooling.

As I said, even if its 1 dba quieter. I know I will get lower temps on my gpu. My computer looks bad. I want a hobby :)

So you're watercooling for looks and not noise?

I think it really depends on how far your OC go

Based on queitness, If you are going to run cpu at stock, there's no point to go full watercool.  Watercooling=water+air cooling.  Tower cooler is your best bet.  The other thing is 900D isn't the best airflow optimized case, so spending money on a right case and aircooling would give you the lowest sound level.

However, if you are heavily overclocking, it depends on the aircooling solution can handle it or not.  At this level you would need to consider how much of performance and how much of sound is acceptable.

Since you mentioned your OC result, I honestly don't think aircooling is the way.

De-lid seems like a must go .. if you want to keep silence and performance together.

To cut that in short, De-lid your cpu and liquid metal paste, build a single loop for your cpu with thick 480 rad, pulling.  Use fans like E-loop/EK vardar/GTs.  Use a D5 PWM or vario
