How often should I clean my computer?

Hey guys, I was wondering how often should I clean my computer with compressed air. I recently swapped cases from my old hp case to a mid tower so I could install my new R9 280 3gb. So I have 2 intake fans on the top and side of my Antec one gaming case. I do have a few cats, but they barley go near my room.

You should create airflow as such that you don't need to. Blowing into a computer with compressed air will just make you clog the bearings with dust.

Preventing dust > blowing out dust.

Clean once a month, and focus on the heat syncs when doing so.

Once or twice a month depending on if you have fan filters and how quickly dust builds up.

Clean it when you need to. Externally, just clean when you start seeing dust appear on your case(or monitors, keyboard, etc.). Internally, clean it when you start seeing temperatures rise(when you see a 5 degree difference it would be time to clean, but once it raises 10 degrees then you really need to clean it).

Follow these simple steps every month:

1. Open case

2. Check if there is excessive build up of dust

3. If there is, proceed to cleaning it with a can of air etc.

4. If there is not much dust, or you have cleaned it all close case and carry on ignorant.

If dust build up is consistent, invest in dust filters for the case, hoover more often or invest in air purifiers.

Good filters mean no cleaning.

I've not cleaned my computer since 4 months ago when I got my new case.

Silverstone makes some of the best fillets

EDIT: filters, not fillets

I clean my case about 3 times a year, and it's in my bedroom that has a lot of dust-making fabrics (clothes, bedsheets, etc.) and I have a 120 mm unfiltered fan blowing into the case, and normally the heat fins will almost clog in 3 months. Honestly depends on the room though, if it's an office or somewhere cleaner it should only need cleaning twice a year or less.
