Magnetic Screwdrivers, Are they safe?

I am going to be building a new PC, and I found out we have a magnetic screwdriver, that could come in handy. Is it safe to use it near all the components?

It's fine, the magnet isn't strong enough to harm and HDD or anything. So go ahead they're very helpful.

linus even says he reccomends you use a magnetic screwdriver

They're safe, you need a pretty powerful magnet to do any damage.

i always use them coz i drop screws often inside the case its actually helpful to get them out where your fingers don't go.LOL

My friend accidentally "stabbed" a fan with a magnetic screwdriver, and the fan broke. I can't say the magnet cause the major damage though....  :)
JK... The magnet is very weak to cause any damage. (the story is real btw)
