AVG 2015 is as good as free gets. Or download a cracked version (Not recommending an illegal antivirus though)

Even as a pirate i wouldn't download a cracked version of antivirus. Many things can go wrong.

Although never tried that method.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

I've been using Avira Free Antivirus for over 2 years and it's been working well for me.

Other good options are what the others have recommended too. AVG 2015, Avast, Bit Defender Free, etc.

I would personally advise just using Windows Firewall and performing system scans on a regular basis. Antivirus is mostly just annoying and intrusive. As long as you're not running .exe files when you downloaded a picture, you should be fine.
