http://www.infowars.com/lawmaker-reintroduces-cispa-cybersecurity-bill/

CISPA as you may know is a bill that will give the US government free range access to all your online data without a warrant and notwithstanding any other laws, which means companies have to give your information to the governing bodies...

This bill has failed twice, but darn if they won't stop trying.

This is my first topic post so I hope this was a good post.

I hate this. When something becomes law, there is very little chance to repeal it. When something doesn't become law, it tries again, sometimes packaged differently hidden in a different bill. It's a loosing battle.

Is this even a post? I don't understand.

EDIT:

In terms of the bill itself though, CISPA is a complete invasion of privacy, not to mention the part where its notwithstanding to any other law.

Edit:
Our contry tried it, only to be met with protests in front of involved government offices... the protests denied passage for workers of the offices...

Hey just noticed you got the pink badge. You do a good job of contributing to LTT already!

And not bad, maybe a bit longer in the future, but this one is self-explanatory.

99% of it is geared towards violence or Otakus.

I see. I think I've only ever seen little bits of it here and there. Not much of a fan.

I watch it but I must admit finding an anime that doesn't have a ton of fan service is a challenge some times. I makes me feel like I'm being told that's who I am as a fan, don't like it. BUT there's enough great stuff to make up for it.

Well, maybe I'll have a look, but I'm not really into cartoons. Kind of grew out of them ages ago, but we'll see.

yup at least if you don't plan on watching a lot you can easily watch 1-2 episode of any show per day and you'll never run out of good things to watch. I also despite fan service cause it just ruins everything for me

Sometimes, I regret being a US citizen.  This is one of those times...  I am afraid of the government having my data not because I have things that I don't want the government to know I have (I don't have said things), but i am afraid of people hacking into the US government to steal everyone's data.  Security wise, I don't really trust the gov't.  It would be another point of failure other countries could take advantage of if they don't like us

You don't think you have such things, but that won't stop them from using your data against you if you ever disagree with their agenda.
