X Tablet VS iPad Mini For College

whatishacks

Hey guys

I'm in college and although we have computers here, they are just too slow and I need workspace to work while im on the computer, OR i can choose to pay 25 cents per page.. and since 1 chapter + answers is like 150 pages.. no thanks.

So I've come here to ask you guys:

iPad Mini VS Anything Equivalent

All I need it for is internet, powerpoint, and microsoft word.  Anything else is just an extra.  Good battery life is a plus ofcourse

by "anything equivalent" I mean to recommend me something.  cheaper is better ofcourse but keep the above specs in mind!

Main PC: 4690k // Z97 // R9 280 3GB // 8gb Ram // CM Elite 430 Case // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Living Room "Console" PC: FX 8350 // 990a SLI Krait // R7 360 // 8gb Ram // HAF 912 // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Future Plans:

find a 2nd monitor at a pawn shop

Sell/giveaway R7 360, move r9 280 into console PC, buy a better GPU for main PC.

I would absolutely recommend the the Dell Venue 8 7840, that thing is actually pretty damn cool. First tablet in a long while to impress me. However gimmicky, it is the 'worlds thinnest tablet' which makes it very easy to handle. The 2560x1600 OLED screen looks stupidly good as well as the bonus of front facing speakers and 3D camera on the rear. To wrap it all up is that it's running nearly stock android, which means really quick updates and smooth experience.
