processor choice!

so i brought a new computer. i had a option between the fx 6300 and the intel i5 4440 non K and i chose the fx 6300... did i make the right decision cus everyone's saying i should of went with intel

It is hard to know who's experienced and who's a fan boy.

If he can afford the i5 it is probably better but it also depends on how much it costs where he lives, fx processors are usually a bit cheaper no matter where u live.

And the 8320 is better than i5 4440 in multi threaded work loads.

If you can afford an i5 they are most of the time the better choice.

But remember that cpu's do the same thing just in a different amount of time. 

You will still be able to play and enjoy your games. 

 

In the future if you can afford, go with an i5.

But until then it will still be enjoyable and you can practice with different oc settings.

I also love it how intel fanboys just shoot down evidence that says other wise of what their saying. Then they bring up things like cinebench( have no idea how to spell it)witch is riged for intel and people just ignore that its riged. The thing is that ALL benchmarks mean nothing, The only thing that matters it in app performance.

there are no new amd cpu's. just new names for old ones. and amd flagship is not much cheaper since you need to put a cooler on it and a mobo that wouldn't melt and once you factor in electrical bills.

 

but the key point is, you don't have better upgrade path. your upgrade path stops at i5 4690k level.

no their has been serval new architectures in amd cpus. look it up you pay like 10 is more for power. Also factor in the price for intel and i think the power bill is justified. so do your research on a topic your talking about instead of just running around screaming mine is better, I am not going to wast my time debating fanboys.
