There will be no CPU bottleneck at any resolution. At higher resolutions and refresh rates (1440P 120hz and up), you will be GPU bottlenecked.

New, at about 150 euros a 1650 Super, at 200 euros a 1660. At 280 euros an rtx 2060 (ko). Used, at 100 euros gtx 1060 / gtx 970, 150 euros gtx 980, 200 euros gtx 1070.

You should buy a better GPU before you think of upgrading monitors (if you want to play games). I suggest a used 1080 for about 300 euros or an rtx 2070 super for about 500 euros. Also, that monitor should be good enough for most gaming and work needs. If you want to play high fps, competitive games you might want to consider a 240hz monitor. If you work on color sensitive projects then you might want to look at the Asus ProArt PA32UCG.

It took me a few days to notice the difference, and i really noticed the difference when i put both a 60hz and 144hz display next to each other. Now i can't go back to 60 hz. I'm very surprised that someone decided to write (a totally useless) reply to this old thread as well.

I bought a gaming chair and it was so uncomfortable that i returned it (luckily i bought it at a physical store) and got a good, ergonomic office chair instead.

If you want to save the games, follow these steps before uninstalling: Move the subfolder /steamapps/ in a safe place (eg on another drive) before uninstalling Steam, then do the following steps: Uninstall Steam Reinstall Steam Launch Steam Exit Steam Move the content of your /steamapps/ backup to the new /steamapps/ subfolder Relaunch Steam At this point Steam should find all games without any other action.

Its fine. For a better experience get a 6 or 8 core i7 or ryzen 7 2XXX/3XXX as well as a GTX 1070 or better.

As @BuckGup mentioned, freesync and gsync dont support such a high refresh rate. I would suggest you get a 144hz monitor with gysnc / freesync as the difference is minimal, even in competitive games (in my personal experience).

Go to my local price comparison website, see there are 2 rm750, one with the "model 2018" suffix. Click on the normal one, check price history and it shows that it was first listed in 2013.

Yup, just get the newer one. Btw the "old" one is a 2013 design.

The cheaper one (on the corsair website) is a newer version. It has 2 EPS vs 1 EPS and 1 Floppy on old and 9 SATA vs 8 SATA. The rest is pretty much the same.

The pic is really bad. From what i could figure out, it might be an Aurora R4 system. No clue what that is. That side panel might even be modded on (i dont know of any alienware PCs with a stock glass sidepanel). The motherboard will look something like this:

depends on the game. Some games allow you set a max fps in the settings of that game.
