Origin Account Breach... Terrifying.

So today I got an email from origin written all in German letting me know I have recently purchased Fifa 15 for about 54 euros equaling to $75 CAD. At first I wan't worried. Contacted origin and my bank and am getting refunded the money. When I got onto my computer I activated secure login so that whenever a unique IP tried accessing my account I will get an email. I activated it at 3:30pm, by 4:15pm I had 60+ emails. I am still getting emails and origin for some reason freezes when I try to change my password. Anybody else have an issue like this? From now on, probably going to go with pre-paid cards. I would like to hear any stories you guys have with accounts being breached and unauthorized purchases.

Haven't been hacked on Origin (yet) but I have through other services. Probably best you go with pre-paids.

 

As for the emails, are they from others trying to access your account? And for Origin freezing, can't you change your password via the website or support?

I haven't been hacked yet either. Here's hoping it never happens.

Believe me I have tried. I will click on get new password and it says it sends me a code. Don't get the code and it freezes. No idea why. lol.

As linus always reccomends is having 2-way login. WIth an email or sms going with a different code.

That doesn't sound good. Have you tried seeing if support will change the password for you?

I've had the exact same scenario, Drove me absolutely crazy, Fifa 15 bought in SGD to my bank card, Funds didn't actually came out only pre-authorisation thingy that took two weeks to expire so I could get my money back, Then EA locked my account due to violations during the compromise and had to get my account unlocked that took like 3 days, Absolutely nightmare
