What is the job title of someone who designs processors? Need to know for school project.

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

What about the field of study? Like biologist, zoologist, etc.?

Electronics Engineering? Engineer?

Idk what you mean by field of study, I thought electronics engineer fit the bill perfectly. Electrical engineering should not quite be the same thing, but apparently it's not broad enough to encompass electronic devices.

Although if you're specialized enough and experienced enough, I think CPU Design Engineer would be a better job title, as evidenced by those Linkedin profiles.

It's not my job. I'm going to college for it.

Ja, but don't you kind of know what it would be like by now?

Electronic engineering isn't a single job. Some design and/or build chips, some do signal communication, etc.
