My first build! (Suggestions welcomed!)

platinumdiamonds

Since my freshman year in high school, I have been dreaming to build a gaming PC! I've been in love with the thought of building it for myself for 3 years now. I am a junior in high school and probably not the wisest of all PC builders. But that's why I'm here. I have ordered all my parts and am only waiting on the processor to arrive. But the real problem is the building aspect. I have watched many videos on YouTube about it and I feel fairly confident that I won't mess anything up/ forget anything.

CPU: AMD FX 6300

CPU Cooler: Cooler master seidon 120m

GPU: AMD R9 270 power color

Motherboard: ASROCK 970 pro

RAM: G Skill (2x4 gb)

PSU: Cooler master silent pro 1000w

HDD: 1tb WD Blue

Case: Corsair air 540 (I got this for looks not for the air cooling features)

I am also concerned about if my power supply will put out too much power and if I need a different one because the one I have was a gift.

I will only be gaming on 1 monitor but will be upgrading (but not using to game) to two monitors.

Please help me!

Your power supply will be chillin. You can keep it or you could sell it and get a smaller one.

AA power supply doesn't 'put out' 1kw, that's it's max load. The system draws what it needs.

Also, GG on getting the air 540. Freaking love mine.

Your PSU is way overkill, but will be just fine.

It's not overkill if it's free. Good value.  B)

You PSU will be fine, the only overkill I see is the watercooling for your 6300  :D
