I need suggestions on what power supply I should buy for my next build. I'm in the process of selecting my computer setup and I thought that I would drop this question in the forums to get any and all the suggestions I can. I'll list my components now. I'm still unsure if im going to be running an optical drive and I'm also unsure about which SSD I'm going to put in. I'm hopefully going to put all of this in a Corsair 760T computer case.

Motherboard - Asus X99 Deluxe LGA2011-3

CPU - Intel Haswell-E Core i7-5930K LGA2011-3

GPU - Asus GeForce GTX 980

RAM - Corsair DDR3 16GB 2400MHz Dual Memory

CPU cooler - Corsair Hydro Series H110 280mm Extreme Performance

Also I may be adding to this build so any power supply suggestions that give me some extra power to work with will be appreciated. Thanks!

Honestly, check your deals and see when some decent ones pop up. I ended up grabbing a corsair hx850 for 40 usd off normal msrp, not even counting the extra rebate for 30usd, if I ever bother sending it in...

If you plan to stick to what you have now and maybe oc a tad, I think a 750w would be perfect, if you plan to sli, maybe higher. I believe the rule of thumb is to go for more than you need so you don't put too much load on your psu, that and you did say you wanted room for additions.

Still new, but learning

EVGA 750 G2

Very good choice. EVGA makes some great PSU's - and after you sign up for the 10 year warranty on the higher end models you won't need a new one for, well, a decade or so haha.

I'm an currently running 2, a 650G and the 850G2. No issues with either, and if you look up the latest reviews on the 750/850 G2's you'll see that they are at the top of the pack.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

I don't know if you made a typo, but you need DDR4 ram with X99 platform.

Also if you only plan on running 1 or 2 graphics cards then go with the i7 5820K. The 5930K is more or less the same cpu, but with extra pci-e lanes. You would need the extra lanes if you were running 3 or 4 way SLI.

A 750 would be fine but a higher one might help you down the road so you can SLI or be stuck like me. Make sure its from a reputable brand.

Sorry about the "DDR3" typo! I think for the power supply i'm going to go with a Raidmax 850W or the Corsair HX850 because I do want to expand later on. Thanks all for your help!

If you are spending this sort of money on a new pc then get a good psu. The EVGA Supernova G2 as mentioned above is excellent. You won't get better for the price.

You can also buy braided cables for the EVGA so it would look nicer in a Case like the 760T as the psu isn't hidden.

These ones from CableMod are very nice. You would want the 'E' Series if you bought them.
