one monitor more vibrant than other

so i just picked up my second acer s240hl monitor and got it hooked up but it seems my older monitor (by about 2-3 months) is more vibrant than the new one. I think it has to do with the adapter i got, it an hdmi to vga adapter but im not sure. i already  tried changing the brightness and contrast but it didnt help. Thanks for your help!

VGA is not a High definition video interface and most likely exactly the cause. Linus calls them sad face connectors for a reason.

Are they the sexact same model number? Also, different connector will yeild different results.

yes but my first monitor was always using a dvi to vga adapter and was always vibrant

In that case, i would make sure the settings on the monitors themselves are exactly the same in every possible way. After that open your gpu control panel (nvidia control centre or amd catalyst depending on the brand of gpu) and ensure you dont have any video tweaks there such as digital vibrance and that kind of stuff. Settings in those menus will apply to each monitor separately so you will have to be careful when looking it over.

You should also remember not all things are created equal so there is no possible way your going to get them both to display exactly the same regardless of settings. Depending on the panel type it may also be the viewing angle that your using.

do you think it would something to with adapter because when i plugged the vibrant monitor into the hdmi to vga adapter, the vibrant monitor turned dull

Yes another user said that above me somewhere, Using different adapters and cables will usually yield a different result
