Hello, wanted to ask just few questions, that really concern me, this is my first time building a pc..

Do i really need to buy that wrist band for static electricity or w/e

any tips?

here is the build itself, thanks to @Unilision

Mainly for rendering/editing, gaming on medium settings.. need it to be "future" proof, and upgradable

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($318.75 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($146.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($127.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($123.00 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card ($329.00 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($108.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow 2014 Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($74.99 @ NCIX US)

Mouse: SteelSeries Sensei RAW Wired Laser Mouse  ($44.99 @ Amazon)

What do you think? 2000 usd is the budget.....  including all peripherals, no need for monitor nor os. any other suggestions for mice and headphones?

also a case? i really dont like cheap looking cases, i like NZXT ones but i think they are overpriced, i want it to have a window, and look cool, yeah.......

any help would be very much appreciated

Eh, I've build 30+ pcs at this point, all without anti static wristbands.

Just don't build it on a carpet, and plug in the psu.

instead of the samsung evo get a crucial mx100 and would not recommend razer keyboard with kailh keys although razer has a sale tomorrow with 50% off with prephials so might be worth it to get it then with a razer deathadder

The build is surprisingly good. I would recommend an EVGA SuperClocked ACX 2.0 970, a SteelSeries Rival, that's better than the Sensei for better quality for price and plastic not going off in 2 months. The keyboard? Nah. ThermalTake by eSports, just search.

The HDD could of been a Seagate Barracuda for 50$. And the PSU could of been a Corsair CX600M. Not bad tho, not bad.

Personally I don't think its necessary to have a static wrist band, just touch the case a lot if your worried. I have worked on my computer and others on carpeted flooring with socks and honestly I never have had a problem with static (maybe i'm just lucky). Your build seems pretty decent though. For mic and headphones you could always look at sennheiser (i like them) I own the 363 HD headset which is nice.

Nice build, I can't see any way to reduce the cost without greatly compromising the reliability or features.

No you do not need to buy an anti-static wrist band, why has everyone become obsessed with this.

Just discharge yourself before you begin building and don't place anything on the outside of an anti-static

bag.

its like seatbelts you probably wont crash but when you do it can be disastrous

I'm not sure i'd agree with that. Some situations it's better to not wear a seatbelt.

What kind of upgrades did you have in mind?

The G402/G602 and M45 are hard to go wrong with.

yes anti static wristband highly recommended

Uh, not really needed. Just don't break dance on carpet with socks on.

@Yehiko

I've been multiple pc, usually I just discharge myself by touching the screws on the case or the case itself and while building, touch the case constantly, that's really enough to build the pc.

As for the peripherals I haven't used many types and the one I'm fund with is CM Devastator Bundle, though I'm sure everyone would flame me for that :P

Case wise, I say Phantek Enthoo Pro/Luxe is good. Not overpriced either, or maybe corsair 750D as I just built In one. Big window if you are looking for that

before the 970s the guys here gave me a build with a much more expensive gpu so i was gonna buy the devastator as well, but the click sound of the mechanical keyboard, i just cant... I MUST HAVE ONE!!!!!

thank you, may i ask for reasons why you changed these parts? and is gigabyte>evga gtx970?

The windforce cools better than the acx. In terms of noise, they're not too different with a custom fan curve.

Reasons behind the changes are:

Cheaper and quieter cooler, motherboard/ram was just more for looks, ssd was cheaper, and larger hdd to not quickly run out of space. The Enthoo Pro is a better case with better airflow and the psu could've just been cheaper.

thank you. ocz and samsung same reliability? and idk why you say the ram is for the looks, it has no cool look what so ever, just a green stick, and the msi board looks cooler ;D water cooling not recommended? and i've heard that seagate have higher chances of crashing, especially with more than 1 tb

I wouldn't say they are the same. Both are great though.

..Green stick? Are you looking at the right ram?--it's black. Looks are subjective. Stick with the original board and ram if you'd like.

High end air cooling is quieter. The h100i in particular is very loud.

WD and Seagate are equally reliable.

so should i go with noctua or another water cooling? and can you recoomend any better case? dont like the look of that one, and should i get SS rival or sensei raw, blackwidow or some other keyboard?

I'd suggest going with air for the lower price and quieter operation unless you need more cooling for higher oc's.

It doesn't get that much better than the Enthoo Pro but other better options would include the Arc Midi R2 and H440. The S340 is also great if you can go with a slightly shorter cpu cooler.

The Sensei Raw is decent for ~$35 but isn't worth it at current pricing. I'm not a fan of the SS Rival either but peripherals are very subjective. For keyboards, I'd point you towards a G710 or K70.
