Yes, it was cheaper here in Russia, and also past problems with AMD drivers made me go with GeForce this time, anyways the 960 is more than enough for me since I don't play heavy games,

How can I reduce the cost of this without loosing performance?
Yehiko replied to Yehiko's topic in New Builds and Planning
"Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (Intel® XMP) allows you to overclock RAM including compatible DDR3/DDR4 memory to perform beyond standard specifications. It’s designed to enhance the gaming features built into Intel® technology–based PCs. If you like to overclock and squeeze as much performance from your gaming PC as possible, then RAM based on Intel XMP gives you that extra edge you need to dominate—without breaking a sweat 1." That is what intel's website says, how come you say XMP is not overclocking? How big is the difference between 1600 and 1866 -

The thing is, I've heard that overclocking may cause damage to the components, and Why i chose the K version then? well the K version is 15$ more than the non K and has a base clock of 4 GHz which I think is worth. -

How can I reduce the cost of this without loosing performance?
Yehiko replied to Yehiko's topic in New Builds and Planning
The thing is, I had a laptop with an ATI graphics card, and I had this mouse issue where the cursor just disappears, and I did some googling and It's a quite common issue with AMD cards because the drivers suck, I dont want to take the risk, i dont game on super high resolutions, so its good for me i think. -

Not really gaming, the main goal is editing on after effects and maybe some gaming here and there on 1080p is enough for me.
