$600 after rebates ($670 before)

$640 without any rebates (buying parts that are NOT eligible for rebates)

If you really need it to be cheaper, then get an R9 270 instead of the R9 280.

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($106.75 @ OutletPC)

Motherboard: Asus H81M-D PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($44.49 @ Newegg)

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB DUAL-X Video Card  ($169.99 @ Newegg)

Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($42.99 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($29.99 @ NCIX US)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit)  ($89.98 @ OutletPC)

Total: $598.06

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I would say a low end Intel, such as the pentium g3258, because photoshop, lightroom, and your games will mostly benefit from stronger individual cores as opposed to AMD's which usually have more less powerful cores.

Current Build:

AMD FX-6300 - ASUS M5A78L-M LX+ - Radeon HD 7770 - WD 500GB HDD - 2 x 4GB Kingston HyperX Blu
