Hey guys,

So a friend is trying to get to the BIOS but there's no button when you go to advanced options in the restart.

We did the settings > recovery > advanced options > restart > all the jibber jabber > UEFI Firmware settings thing, but there is no button for the UEFI for us.

He has a Gigabyte motherboard with Windows 8.1 64 bit.

you get to the bios by pressing delete during boot, not by clicking some weird restart option...

Is there not a button directly on the motherboard that allows you to open the BIOS? I know my Lenovo laptop (completely different, I know) has One-Button Recovery which is a button on the side of the laptop that allows access to the boot meny, BIOS ect and skips that jibber-jabber at boot so that you start up faster.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

FastBoot in windows 8.1 doesn't let us get into bios, and the USB keyboard isn't detected fast enough to get into the BIOS
