I want to go AMD because Im going for price to performance and what not. I was just wondering if there where anything i could do (in budget) to absolutely max performance. Thanks for having a look!

As far as your SSD, you can find them on NewEgg in 120/128GB flavours for only $10 or $15 more than the 64GB one that you have in PCPP.

If you want absolute bang for the buck performance for gaming then you are not doing yourself a favor with an FX-8320

First and foremost: your build doesn't work. That motherboard cannot supply sufficient power to the FX-8320 without overheating. One of two things will happen when under a full load: 1) your CPU will throttle and you'll lose a shitload of performance, or 2) your VRMs will overheat and eventually blow.

Yes, you can do significantly better by going with an Intel CPU for gaming and a better AMD GPU and ditching the SSD. You can always add in an SSD later should you want one, and since it's a luxury item (doesn't help with in-game performance at all, except on loading screens) you can do without to start with.

Do you need great multi-threaded performance, or is this a pure gaming machine? If pure gaming, then this is what I would do:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($176.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($71.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Apotop 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($68.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Diamond Radeon R9 290 4GB Video Card  ($269.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($64.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: Rosewill 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $752.88

If you need better multi-threaded performance (like the FX-8320 gives you, except this is even better than that) for workstation type of loads in addition to gaming, then this is what I would do:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($242.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($71.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Apotop 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($68.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Diamond Radeon R9 290 4GB Video Card  ($269.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($31.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: Rosewill 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $785.88
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'd strongly suggest spending the extra $25 rather than getting a worse GPU, although if you can't spend it then the R9 280x is a fine option. Just not as good as the R9 290.

So whats wrong with FX I dont get it. Every website that I've seen it displayed on has great feedback for it. And Im not a fanboy, AMD is just cheaper and I dont have loads of extra cash to work with here.  @Laputacake @Archangel1994 @
