I am using a laptop with Mac osx yosemite triple booted with windows 10 and ubuntu 14.10

and a windows 8.1 desktop

Windows as my "Fun" OS. (Games and stuff)

Fedora as my writing OS. No distractions. Just libreoffice and a browser

win8, and OS X mavericks on my mom's iMac. I will be Dual-booting Ubuntu at some point on my G3

If i use android, would I also check linux or is that something else?

android is a linux distro but is that what you run as your main computer as in a android tablet
