before you shipped the card back time after time did you put an indescreet mark on it somewhere so you know you didn't get the same one back?

need more background on your system and what's going on.

are both monitors SAME RES?

did you swap monitors with one another?

what are you doing at the time this happens?

No, but first time it was same card, second two was different siral number and came in new box

one monitor is 23 inch 1080p, other is 17 inch 1024p, 1080p is the artifacting one

have had same monitors forever

Web browsing, sometime when playing youtube, sometimes random.

swap......... like switch *cables* so left one is right and right one is left.

I can only have DVI/VGA on the one that works.

are you using the vga?

did you go into the monitors control panel and reset things to default?

are both monitor refreshrates the same?

I mean yeah, thats all there is.

Im using DVI on the right, working, 1024p, 17 incher, and HDMI on the left, not working, 1080p, 23 incher.

Ive played around wiht everythin there.

The 17 inch is 75hrz, 23 inch is 60 hrz

Last time i ran 2 different monitors together the both defaulted to one resolution ( hdmi/hdmi )

the refresh rates could be a problem as , my guess, the resolutions.

too bad you don't have an active DP.............. maybe, maybe, some forward progress could be made there.

just a quick question. is there a res in the bad monitor that is the same as the good monitor. ( some displays will allow different res. )

Yes, but then everything is stretched out.

Ill try setting the hrz to 60 on the other monitor, see what that does.

stretched out or not............ does the problem still persist?

second question, you said vga/dvi before. Is it a vga on the monitor you are tapping into? or on the card?

Don't know, have to use it a while before problem happens

Huh?

It's dvi.

OK, so refresh rate set the same.

Artifacting happens, and computer restarts.

Could it be PSU??

-Snipe-

I may (or may not) have the same issue as you. My artifacting only happens on my HDMI plugged monitor, and has never happened before I got Windows 8.1. I've had my video card and monitor for years, and this has only happened since I installed Windows 8.1

Does it mostly happen when the screen is white?

Also, it may or may not be worth noting that it doesn't really happen when I'm gaming.

Here's an example of my issue.

Previously Trogdor8freebird

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit
