(Cube) case "footprint"?

Go to solution Solved by xToFxREAPER,

The square footage it takes up on your desk. I sort of agree with linus on that note, I had an air 540 for about a year or so and it was great. Kept the system cool and quite while looking sick as hell doing it. The major drawback was it took up a quarter of my desk just by itself! Think of pretty much any standard sized prebuilt/oem system you  can get these days and put 2-3 side by side.... They arent a desk friendly setup!

Hello everyone!
In Linus' review of the Corsair Carbide Air 540, he said that he doesn't like the "footprint" of cube cases.
Does anyone know what he means by this?
Video link which will bring you directly to the moment when he says it.

Thanks!

Amount of space it takes up on a table, or any surface for that matter.

The R5 takes up a lot less space on a table than the Air 540 because the Air 540 is more spread out. Which case makes more contact with the surface it's seated on? The Air 540.

If you were to trace (with a pencil) around the object, you will get the footprint.
