Help with Windows keyboard layout.

So I just got my Filco Majestouch 2 (Yay! ) but it's a US layout. This wouldn't really be a problem, if it wasn't for the fact that when I swap the the US layout in Windows I have to press the apostrophe(') key twice to get anything, and when I do that it gives me two of them. What am I doing wrong?

You will need to press it once and press space

Are you sure you're using the US layout and not a different English one?

the apostrophe will show up when you type any character after it

so just pretend its there and keep on typing, it should show up

Thanks guys. That works fine. For some reason it only happens in certain programs though. When I type in Steam chat it works as it normally does.

You might need to switch the layout in windows or the program itself.
