1440p Gaming PC at $200!?!?

vt3c

@terrytek

I'm blown away.

Eric S. Raymond used an E6600 from 2005 until 12/30/14 or open source software creation. Raw data computations in excess of 18GB each. Core 2 Duos still have tons of life left, my friend.

motherfucker I thought you found a 1440p monitor for $200

You can get a refurbished one from under or near 200$ on eBay

Though you should buy it from somewhere shipping from US for obvious reasons.

This probably won't apply to CAN

my apologies. I should have added 1440p rig for $200 to the title.

Well, it's not mine. But basically he bought it refurbished/used and added parts.

And the core 2 quad q9650 is an absolute beast, especially considering it's age.

The core 2 series still has life, dude. I'm browsing Chrome with over 30 tabs open using 3GB of RAM, and my CPU is sitting there treating it like it's a joke.

Oh and it's a laptop. Core 2 Duo T6400.

I recommend doing something like this. Buy a pre-built at a garage sale or something with a core 2 quad/duo, slap in a sexy GPU and some RAM, and you're good to go.

Too lazy to watch, what are the specs?

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Funny. Thinking this was a monitor. My first thought was exactly what it is. Huh.
