Guitar and bass with a Condenser or Dynamic mic?

I'm considering the MXL V67G condenser microphone and the Shure SM57 Dynamic microphone right now.  From what I understand, the sm57 should sound better on electric guitar.  What mic will sound better with a bass guitar?  and does a condenser microphone sound bad on guitars? or are dynamics just a little better?

 

I also plan on using this mic for vocals and maybe drums and other stuff, but mostly guitar and bass.   I want the best all-around microphone that sounds good with electric guitar and bass.  what do you guys think

Seems solid; there are even fewer people on this forum that know about mics than headphones so good luck getting anything more specific.

You can't really go wrong with an SM57 for guitar cab miking. works wonderfully for snare drums too, and even vocals.

 

I've heard about people using bass drum mics for bass cabs, such as a Shure Beta 52, Audix D6 or AKG D112
