Awful experiences with HP

Well they "gaming desktops" are crap: a 770 and locked i7 for £1200 is a joke

GPU: Reference GTX 970  SSD: 250GB Samsung 970 EVO.  HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB. Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro. PSU: Corsair RM1000X. OS: Windows 10 Pro UEFI mode  (installed on SSD)

Peripherals:  Display: Acer XB272 1080p 240Hz G Sync Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Brown Mouse: Logitech G502 RGB Headhet: Roccat XTD 5.1 analogue

I hate their driver updates. My Pro x2 convertible has graphics drivers from 2013???? None of the new features supported by the hardware is enabled because HP is not releasing updated drivers.

i haven't personally had any bad experiences with them but my friend laptop fried itself because hp cool sense crashed or something, i have the same laptop and its fine for me

I have seen a hp laptop that burnt out its own wireless card. The computer eventually wouldn't even get to the bios.

it and another hp were both slow.

Desktop: 16gb Ram, i7-2600k, GTX 560 OC.    Laptop: i7, 8gb DDR3, 840m GPU

Server 1 (Files and AD): i3 3220, 4gb DDR3, 1TB Western Digital Blue, Overkill motherboard I got for free (better than main computer) changed to xeon, don't remember exactly what but xeon version of the processor  and 8gb ECC Ram   Server 2 (games): 8gb Ram, i5, Geforce 710m

I was able to force generic drivers in just now. Now I remember how I did it for my past HPs... (been using other brands for the past few years).

I had one that just started to bsod after a couple of weeks from purchase. HP replaced the board (took them 3 weeks though). It was fine afterwards.

Parts 2 and 3 are him building a PC with the same specs and then a workstation for some reason...... Although there were none of the benchmarks that were promised CAREY....

One of my friends put his week old HP notebook in his backpack with a history and chemistry book, the plastic was cracked two places when he came home.

HP is so terrible that their flagship consumer laptops will break after a year. Brilliant. Brings into question their entire company, to be honest. Who wants to buy an industrial printer or a server from a company whose baseline products are so bad?

HP used to be good. They used to make excellent printers. I have no idea what happened, they followed Lexmark into the trash category.

You know, people have given me flak for having a Toshiba because they feel cheap and plasticky, but the fact of the matter is, they are freaking tanks and they last for ages. I'll take on an HP with mine any day. The only other laptop manufacturers I might take over Toshiba at this point are MSI, Asus, etc.

So there's been a little bit of derailment in Experiences with Non-Techies talking about how terrible HP is. I've heard about terrible caps, bad cable management, etc.... Oh, and this YouTube video

Now have you guys seen any crap HP has pulled?

i have never had a problem with hp xD, i had a prebuilt  with windows 95/98 it still runs,

hp laptop with 8
