Is it worth the upgrade from a ~$250 laptop to somthing in the $400 range

So i have been debating getting a phone or a laptop for a long time, and i have some money now, enough for a baseline pentium/celuron 4gb ram 500gb hdd laptop (or hp stream/ asus eeebook), but i dont know if it would be worth it to wait until a sell my xbox to get somthing a little but more, im hesitant because i have not seen a large increase in specs.

What i want is for a laptop to run issac, civ v and minecraft. Running more like bioshock infinite would be nice, but not needed as i would use it at the lake mostly.

However i may also be able to make alot more money in april/may/june and could buy a phone in the mean time, and get a low end gaming laptop.

Please guys, help me out a bit here

Nothing under 500$ is worth getting. All to cheap and planned obsolescence-y (?)

 

Buy a phone then buy a gp60 (MSi).

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

why do you say that, i want to play 3 BASIC games, watch movies and browes the web, watching movies i cant do well on my ipod

Planned obsolescence.
