Some Case Fan Questions

Soaked
Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

1. Sickleflows are very mediocre. Get better fans instead.

2. Add 2 Pure Wings 2's: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-case-fan-bl047

One for side intake and the other for bottom intake.

3. Yes, your fans can be controlled using the motherboard software.

Case: Corsair 200R

Build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/GF3xkL

Questions:

1. What are some value case fans you would recommend? I'm thinking of purchasing these since they're pretty cheap, not sure how good they would be though I would probably lean towards airflow over quietness, as long as it's not too loud. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-fan-r4l2r20acgp

2. For this build where would you recommend putting case fans and what is the ideal amount of case fans I should have for this build, what's the minimal?

3. I'm not sure if I need a fan controller, does my motherboard have one?

Thanks for any help you can provide

I have corsair ap140's quiet edition, and they are great and quiet, but they cost $20 bucks a piece.

That fan looks fine; it shouldn't be an issue.

sorry af not ap fans in my build

Wait I just wanted to make sure, I put my PSU fan downsided right? and one of the fans are put in the GPU area side panel intake (it would be a tight fit if it were to be for the CPU side panel intake). Bottom I assume is the one next to the PSU/Floor. ty ty just wanted to be clear, first build after all.

Up to you. Having the psu fan face downward will give it fresher air and having it fan-side up will remove heat from the graphics card at the cost of having the psu run warmer.

Yes, use the lower side panel fan mount.

Going to place it fan-side up so that there will be 2 exhaust areas. Would it be beneficial to replace the case stock fans (rear exhaust and front intake) with the one's you recommended and just put the stock fans where the new fans were originally intended to be put? (lower side intake and bottom intake). Also will I need dust filters? Lastly is there a more cheaper option instead of these fans? They're kind of expensive off sale.

It wouldn't make a difference to switch the stock and new fans if the stock fans aren't just removed. Yes, you should filter the intakes. It doesn't really get cheaper for 140mm fans and cheaper 120mm fans aren't as good.
